The Hidalgo Pirates basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Valley View Tigers to 33 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edcouch-Elsa for a non-league contest on Saturday, November 18. Hidalgo will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 57-51 non-league win over Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-2.

The Tigers (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against La Feria (La Feria, TX). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, La Feria ran past Donna North (Donna, TX), 57-27, in a non-league contest.
