The Bowie Pirates (Simms, TX) basketball nipped the host Bloomburg Wildcats (Bloomburg, TX), 24-23 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Pirates (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Ore City (Ore City, TX). The Rebels go into the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Ore City was tipped by Carlisle (Price, TX), 38-15, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Queen City for a non-league test on Monday, November 20. Bloomburg will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 40-29 non-league win over Arkansas (Texarkana, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-0.
