Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Liberty Eagles (Liberty, IL), 55-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Brown County upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Hornets host Beardstown (Beardstown, IL) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Monday, November 20. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Beardstown won 55-40 in their recent non-league bout against Liberty (Liberty, IL)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Seymour Indians (Payson, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 21. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 64-30 non-league loss to Mendon Unity (Mendon, IL).
