Texas High School Basketball - MacArthur knocked off by Vela

The Vela Sabercats basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting MacArthur Brahmas to 50 in the Sabercats non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Sabercats now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cigarroa for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 21. Vela will battle a Toros team coming off a 36-32 non-league loss to Rowe (McAllen, TX). The Toros record now stands at 6-6.

The Brahmas (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against SA Roosevelt (San Antonio, TX). The Rough Riders enter the non-league contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, SA Roosevelt was defeated by Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX), 63-22, in a non-league contest.
