The Saltillo Lions basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Paris Wildcats to 40 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sulphur Springs for a non-league contest on Saturday, November 18. Saltillo will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 47-36 non-league win over Huckabay (Stephenville, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-2.

The Wildcats (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hooks (Hooks, TX). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, Hooks ran past Huckabay (Stephenville, TX), 41-31, in a non-league contest.
