Austin Maroons (Austin, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Westlake Chaparrals (Austin, TX), 38-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Austin upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Maroons host Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Monday, November 20. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Chaparrals clash with the Lake Travis Cavaliers (Austin, TX) in a bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Westlake will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
