Arkansas High School Basketball - Cross County nudges Harrisburg

November 18, 2024: Cherry Valley, AR 72324

The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Cross County Thunderbirds (Cherry Valley, AR) and the visiting Harrisburg Hornets (Harrisburg, AR), observed Cross County's basketball team edge Harrisburg by a score of 58-56.

The Thunderbirds (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR). The Warriors come into the 2A Region 3 challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, East Poinsett County edged Corning (Corning, AR), 79-75, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets encounter the KIPP Blytheville Thunder (Blytheville, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 19. Harrisburg will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Thunder come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 67-38 league loss to Crowley's Ridge Academy (Paragould, AR).
