North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashley nips Swansboro

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle basketball squad scored a tight 38-36 victory over the Swansboro Pirates.

With the victory, Ashley advances its record to 2-0 on the year. The Screaming Eagle host Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC) to face the Monarchs in a non-league match on Tuesday, November 25. The Monarchs enter the match with a record of 0-1. Northside - Jacksonville lost 58-41 in their recent non-league match against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC)

The Pirates now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lejeune for a non-league contest on Friday, November 21. Swansboro will confront a Devilpups team coming off a 48-15 non-league loss to Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC). The Devilpups record now stands at 0-1.
