The Peoria Lions basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Limestone Rockets to 36 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Lions now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pekin for a non-league contest on Saturday, November 19. Peoria will battle a Dragons team coming off a 37-32 non-league win over Glenwood (Chatham, IL). The Dragons record now stands at 1-0.
The Rockets (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Decatur Eisenhower was routed by Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL), 70-39, in a non-league contest.
