North Carolina High School Basketball - Excelsior Classical Academy sneaks past Triangle Math & Science

November 19, 2025: Apex, NC 27502

The Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions (Durham, NC) basketball edged the host Triangle Math & Science Tigers (Apex, NC), 57-54 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Flying Lions now hold a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Emerson Waldorf for a non-league test on Thursday, November 20. Excelsior Classical Academy will encounter a Gnomes squad coming off a 53-10 non-league win over Bradford Academy (Mebane, NC). The Gnomes record now stands at 1-0.

The Tigers (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Eno River Academy (Hillsborough, NC). The Bobcats go into the non-league bout with a 4-1 record. In their last bout, Eno River Academy nudged Roxboro Community (Roxboro, NC), 59-42, in a non-league bout.
