The Alpena Wildcats ice hockey team scored 5 points and held the host Petoskey Northmen to 1 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now hold a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Heritage for a non-league bout on Friday, November 21. Alpena will play a Hawks team coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Brighton (Brighton, MI). The Hawks record now stands at 1-0.

The Northmen (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Northwest (Jackson, MI). The Mounties enter the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Northwest held off Okemos (Okemos, MI), 5-2, in a non-league match.
