The Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) basketball knocked off the host Oregon Hawks (Oregon, IL), 45-34 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cogs (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL). The Timberwolves go into the non-league test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Indian Creek notched a victory over Illinois Math & Science (Aurora, IL), 40-27, in a non-league test.
The Hawks now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Polo for a non-league test on Tuesday, November 23. Oregon will battle a Marcos team coming off a 43-41 league loss to Aquin Catholic (Freeport, IL). The Marcos record now stands at 0-2.
