Illinois High School Basketball - Carbondale can't hold off Benton

The Benton Rangers basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Carbondale Terriers to 46 in the Rangers non-league triumph on Monday.
The Rangers now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carterville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 21. Benton will battle a Lions team coming off a 56-32 non-league win over Cairo (Cairo, IL). The Lions record now stands at 2-0.
The Terriers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Herrin (Herrin, IL). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Herrin nudged Johnston City (Johnston City, IL), 62-30, in a non-league contest.
