The St. Martinville Tigers basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting New Iberia Yellowjackets to 36 in the Tigers non-league victory on Monday.
The Tigers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westgate for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 21. St. Martinville will battle a Tigers team coming off a 41-32 non-league win over Central Catholic (Morgan City, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-1.
The Yellowjackets (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA). The Crusaders come into the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Westminster Academy was defeated by Thibodaux (Thibodaux, LA), 65-18, in a non-league contest.
