The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) and the visiting Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC), observed Shelby's basketball team overcome Kings Mountain by a score of 52-43.

The Golden Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record.
