In Thursday's non-league outing, the visiting Independence Wildcats soccer squad scored a tight 6-0 win over the Winona Tigers.
The Wildcats (2-3) will now prepare for their outing against Vardaman (Vardaman, MS). The Rams enter the 1A Region 2 outing with a 2-3 record.
The Tigers now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Greenville for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 2. Winona will clash with a Hornets team coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Coahoma County (Clarksdale, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 3-1.
