Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC), 59-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rockingham County upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cougars host Morehead (Eden, NC) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Phoenix clash with the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, November 29. McMichael will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
