North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), 52-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Gaston upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Wildcats host Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC) to play the Yellow Jackets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, November 29. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Bessemer City lost 62-13 in their recent non-league bout against Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC)

Next up, the Warriors play the Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 28. East Gaston will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Greenwave go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 63-35 non-league loss to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).
