The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) and the visiting Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS), observed South Pontotoc's basketball team knock off Lafayette by a score of 45-28.

The Cougars (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Okolona (Okolona, MS). The Chieftains come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Okolona dropped by Aberdeen (Aberdeen, MS), 60-58, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Commodores battle the Saltillo Tigers (Saltillo, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 22. Lafayette will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 60-43 non-league win over Nettleton (Nettleton, MS).
