The Nixon Mustangs basketball squad (Laredo, TX), was outscored 45-31 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting McMullen County Cowboys (Tilden, TX)

With the victory, McMullen County advances its record to 2-1 on the year.

The Mustangs now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Steele for a non-league battle on Tuesday, November 26. Nixon will meet a Knights squad coming off a 71-59 non-league win over O'Connor (Helotes, TX). The Knights record now stands at 2-0.
