Georgia High School Basketball - Pike County can't hold off Academy for Classical Education

Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) backers went home thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team tip the visiting Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA), 63-61 in a non-league contest.

The Gryphons (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Jordan (Columbus, GA). The Red Jackets go into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Jordan was tipped by Central (Talbotton, GA), 57-42, in a non-league contest.

Next up, the Pirates face the Greenville Patriots (Greenville, GA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, December 2. Pike County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 76-55 non-league loss to Kendrick (Columbus, GA).
