In Friday's non-league test, the Hillcrest Jaguars (Evergreen, AL) basketball squad defeated the host Shields Panthers (Beatrice, AL), by a score of 48-33.
Next, the Jaguars clash with the Greenville Tigers (Greenville, AL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, December 6. Hillcrest will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record.
The Panthers (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Monroe County (Monroeville, AL). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Monroe County fell by Escambia County (Atmore, AL), 77-65, in a non-league bout.
