The Pope John Paul II Jaguars basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting Sumner Cowboys to 46 in the Jaguars non-league victory on Monday.
The Jaguars now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Albany for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 23. Pope John Paul II will battle a Hornets team coming off a 87-60 non-league loss to Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA). The Hornets record now stands at 0-1.
The Cowboys (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against West Harrison (Gulfport, MS). The Hurricanes come into the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, West Harrison was defeated by Biloxi (Biloxi, MS), 85-44, in a non-league contest.
