The Charlestown Pirates topped the visiting New Washington Mustangs basketball team by a final score of 77-69 in Tuesday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Pirates face the Silver Creek Dragons (Sellersburg, IN) in a Mid-Southern battle, on Tuesday, November 29. Charlestown will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Dragons come into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 65-57 non-league win over Columbus East (Columbus, IN).
The Mustangs (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Shawe Memorial (Madison, IN). The Hilltoppers come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Shawe Memorial beat Medora (Medora, IN), 59-54, in a non-league battle.
