The Merkel Badgers basketball team (Merkel, TX), was nudged 58-53 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Hermleigh Cardinals (Hermleigh, TX)
The Cardinals now possess a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sands for a non-league battle on Tuesday, November 29. Hermleigh will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 40-30 non-league loss to Valley (Turkey, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-4.
The Badgers (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Brook Hill (Bullard, TX). The Guard come into the non-league battle with a 8-3 record.
