The Providence Grove Patriots basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Asheboro Blue Comets to 44 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Patriots now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Davidson for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, November 29. Providence Grove will play a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 42-23 non-league loss to Trinity (Trinity, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
Next up, the Blue Comets play the Randleman Tigers (Randleman, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, November 23. Asheboro will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 51-49 non-league loss to Lexington (Lexington, NC).
