North Carolina High School Basketball - Central Academy toppled by Highland Tech

November 22, 2024: Gastonia, NC 28052

Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC), 55-42 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Highland Tech advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Rams travel to Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC) to face the Patriots in a non-league match on Monday, December 2. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 2-2.

The Cougars now hold a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Lee Park Prep for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, November 26. Central Academy will encounter a Knights team coming off a 60-50 non-league win over Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-1.
