East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Jones Trojans (Trenton, NC), 61-31 in a non-league match.

With the victory, East Columbus advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Gators host South Brunswick (Southport, NC) to meet the Cougars in a non-league match on Monday, November 25. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 1-1. South Brunswick won 59-18 in their recent non-league match against Union (Rose Hill, NC)

The Trojans now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hobgood Charter for a non-league match on Tuesday, November 26. Jones will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 61-26 non-league win over Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech (Elizabeth City, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 1-0.
