North Carolina High School Basketball - Foard bested by Newton-Conover

Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Foard Tigers (Newton, NC), 89-71 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Newton-Conover advances its record to 2-0 on the year. The Red Devils host Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC) to meet the Eagles in a non-league match on Tuesday, November 26. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 1-0. Wilkes Central won 88-82 in their recent non-league match against West Iredell (Statesville, NC)

The Tigers now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Forestview for a non-league match on Monday, November 25. Foard will meet a Jaguars squad coming off a 79-31 non-league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-0.
