In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Mater Dei Monarchs football squad scored a good 36-7 victory over the Centennial Huskies.
The Monarchs (11-0) will now prepare for their match against St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA). The Braves enter the non-league match with a 11-1 record. In their last match, St. John Bosco thwarted Orange Lutheran (Orange, CA), 20-17, in a non-league match.

Inferrera with a dime. First play in off the bench and throws a perfect back corner fade.
Monarchs lead by 15 at the half after two late scores. Their defense looks very strong, but the Huskies have shown capable of big plays.
Mater Dei will look to put the game out of reach in the second half and rely on their defense to hold the Huskies down.
Mater Dei has been able to get to the Huskies QB and USC commit, Husan Longstreet, and disrupt him quickly. It's been a key early.
It has been a thunder (Sr. Jordon Davison) and lightning (So. Kennie Leggett) ground game for the Monachs, which has opened up the pass.
The Huskies have shown the ability to come from behind this season including last week. They'll need to take chances against this defense.

Mater Dei's defense has two freshman on the field right now. Very talented team.

Monarchs QB Dash Beierly was injured on a big hit at the end on the first half. Current status is not known.
Monarchs defense blew up a run play, and #47 freshman Kye Duval with a scoop and nice run.

This makes no sense to me! Mater Dei is undefeated, and is higher ranked than Centennial, why is this an away game for them??
