The Independence Wildcats basketball team scored 35 points and limited the visiting Strayhorn Mustangs to 10 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now possess a 3-4 record. They play next when they host J.Z. George for a non-league game on Monday, November 25. Independence will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 40-24 non-league loss to West Tallahatchie (Webb, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Strayhorn falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Vardaman (Vardaman, MS) to confront the Rams in a non-league game on Friday, December 13. The Rams go into the game with a record of 0-1.
