The Mount Dora Hurricanes basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host Trinity Catholic Celtics to 57 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Friday.

The Hurricanes now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they host DeLand for a non-league game on Monday, December 2. Mount Dora will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 64-36 non-league loss to Lake Brantley (Altamonte Springs, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Trinity Catholic falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Celtics host Hope Academy (Groveland, FL) to confront the Trojan Tigers in a non-league game on Monday, November 25. The Trojan Tigers go into the game with a record of 0-3. Hope Academy lost 71-33 in their recent non-league game against Wekiva (Apopka, FL)
