McMullen County Cowboys (Tilden, TX) backers went home thrilled Saturday as they saw their basketball team smash the host Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats (Bloomington, TX), 66-27 in a non-league contest.

The Cowboys (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Nordheim (Nordheim, TX). The Pirates go into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Nordheim was trounced by St. Joseph (Victoria, TX), 58-26, in a non-league match.

The Bobcats/Lady Cats now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Orange Grove for a non-league match on Tuesday, November 25. Bloomington will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 85-40 non-league win over John Paul II (Corpus Christi, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
