Cigarroa Toros (Laredo, TX) supporters went home pleased Saturday as they observed their basketball team edge the host Alice Coyotes (Alice, TX), 48-45 in a non-league contest.
The Toros (5-4) will now prepare for their match against United (Laredo, TX). The Longhorns enter the non-league match with a 10-2 record.
The Coyotes now own a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Oso for a non-league match on Tuesday, November 25. Alice will face a Bears squad coming off a 57-29 non-league win over Taft (Taft, TX). The Bears record now stands at 7-1.
