The Mt. Olive Wildcats basketball squad scored 51 points and restricted the visiting East Alton-Wood River Oilers to 46 in the Wildcats non-league win on Saturday.
Next, the Wildcats clash with the Bunker Hill Minutemen (Bunker Hill, IL) in a MSM outing, on Tuesday, November 25. Mt. Olive will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Minutemen come into the outing with a 0-3 record after their 58-39 league loss to Sangamon Valley/Tri-City (Niantic, IL).
The Oilers (1-2) will now prepare for their outing against New Athens (New Athens, IL). The Yellow Jackets go into the non-league bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, New Athens was edged by Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL), 52-34, in a non-league bout.
