In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Simley Spartans ice hockey team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Highland Park Scots.
The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Park Rapids (Park Rapids, MN). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Scots play the St. Francis Fighting Saints (St. Francis, MN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, November 29. Highland Park will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
