In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Manistee Chippewas ice hockey team scored a nice 9-1 victory over the Mt. Pleasant Oilers.

The Chippewas (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Hudsonville (Hudsonville, MI). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Hudsonville prevailed over Adams (Rochester, MI), 4-3, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Oilers play the Huron Chiefs (New Boston, MI) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, November 30. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Chiefs go into the contest with a 0-6 record after their 9-1 non-league loss to Anderson (Southgate, MI).
