Cosby Eagles (Cosby, TN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Claiborne Bulldogs (New Tazewell, TN), 59-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cosby upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Pigeon Forge (Pigeon Forge, TN) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 28. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Pigeon Forge won 66-43 in their recent non-league bout against Hancock County (Sneedville, TN)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Union County Patriots (Maynardville, TN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 28. Claiborne will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 60-45 non-league loss to Concord Christian (Knoxville, TN).
