Illini Central Cougars (Mason City, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers (Mt. Pulaski, IL), 52-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Illini Central upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Lewistown (Lewistown, IL) to clash with the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Lewistown won 62-44 in their recent non-league bout against Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL)

Next up, the Hilltoppers clash with the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals (Warrensburg, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 28. Mt. Pulaski will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 65-35 non-league win over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (Windsor, IL).
