In Saturday's non-league outing, the Putnam County War Eagles (Eatonton, GA) basketball squad edged the host Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA), by a count of 43-42.

The War Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Jasper County (Monticello, GA). The Hurricanes go into the non-league outing with a 0-0 record.

The Patriots now hold a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Hart County for a non-league outing on Saturday, December 9.
