Indiana High School Basketball - South Newton knocks off Watseka

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN) and the visiting Watseka Warriors (Watseka, IL), witnessed South Newton's basketball squad run past Watseka by a count of 51-34.

With the victory, South Newton advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Rebels travel to Clinton Central (Michigantown, IN) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Wednesday, December 3. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 0-1. Clinton Central lost 76-49 in their recent non-league match against Bethesda Christian (Brownsburg, IN)

The Warriors now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clifton Central for a non-league contest on Saturday, November 29. Watseka will battle a Comets team coming off a 51-44 non-league win over Cissna Park (Cissna Park, IL). The Comets record now stands at 1-0.
