Indiana High School Basketball - Wapahani fells Pendleton Heights

Wapahani Raiders (Selma, IN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pendleton Heights Arabians (Pendleton, IN), 45-36 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Wapahani upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Raiders travel to Winchester Community (Winchester, IN) to clash with the Golden Falcons in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Golden Falcons go into the bout with a record of 2-0.
Next up, the Arabians clash with the Westfield Shamrocks (Westfield, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 29. Pendleton Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Shamrocks go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 47-39 non-league win over Kokomo (Kokomo, IN).
First Quarter
The first quarter is one that the Arabians might want to forget as they only scored 4 points. Isaac Wilson scored 2 and Evan Mozingo also scored 2. The Raiders also got 5 more rebounds that the Arabians.
Second Quarter
The offense got going in the second quarter as they scored 15 points and led at halftime 19-11. Scoring in the second quarter was Evan Mozingo with 5, Caden Sims with 6 and Josiah Gustin with 4. Pendleton Heights also scored 8 of their points over Wapahani turnovers.
Third Quarter
The third quarter was a draw as both teams scored 11 points. Evan Mozingo continued to score as he put in 5 points with Aaron Cookston scoring 4 and Brayden Kanitz with 2. High point of the third quarter was Josiah Gustin getting 3 blocked shots.
Fourth Quarter
The fourth quarter unfortunately was just about as bad as the first quarter scoring wise for the Arabians as the entire team only scored 6 points. Dontrez Braxton, Isaac Wilson and Aaron Cookston each scored 2. Only 1 foul was called on the Raiders while they hit 13 of 14 points from the charity stripe. Both teams had played a tough defense.
