North Carolina High School Basketball - Madison holds off Polk County

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Madison Patriots basketball team scored a close 32-29 triumph over the Polk County Wolverines.

The Patriots (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Mountaineers go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Tuscola was tipped by Avery County (Newland, NC), 43-24, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wolverines confront the Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 3. Polk County will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Bears go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 73-46 non-league win over Enka (Enka, NC).
