Brilliant Tigers (Brilliant, AL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lamar County Bulldogs (Vernon, AL), 39-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Brilliant upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Tigers host Belgreen (Russellville, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 28. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Belgreen lost 70-42 in their recent non-league bout against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy (Decatur, AL)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Winston County Yellowjackets (Double Springs, AL) in a 2A Area 10 bout, on Friday, December 1. Lamar County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 56-37 non-league loss to Hackleburg (Hackleburg, AL).
