The Johnson Central Golden Eagles basketball team scored 82 points and held the host Jenkins Cavaliers to 21 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Monday.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lawrence County for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 30. Johnson Central will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 58-46 non-league win over Letcher County Central (Whitesburg, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
The Cavaliers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Bland County triumphed over Tazewell (Tazewell, VA), 77-28, in a non-league contest.
