Cornerstone Eagles (Birmingham, AL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Leeds Greenwave (Leeds, AL), 55-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cornerstone upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Shades Valley (Birmingham, AL) to play the Mounties in a non-league bout on Wednesday, November 30. The Mounties come into the bout with a record of 4-0. Shades Valley won 47-39 in their recent non-league bout against Minor (Adamsville, AL)

Next up, the Greenwave play the St. Clair County Fighting Saints (Odenville, AL) in a 5A Area 11 bout, on Friday, December 2. Leeds will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Fighting Saints come into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 61-18 non-league win over Ashville (Ashville, AL).
