Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL), 40-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Herscher upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Tigers host Grace Christian Academy (Kankakee, IL) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 29. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Grace Christian Academy lost 49-46 in their recent league bout against Donovan/St. Anne (Donovan, IL)

Next up, the Comets play the Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 29. Reed-Custer will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 36-27 league win over Putnam County (Granville, IL).
