Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Alamogordo Tigers (Alamogordo, NM), 43-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Carlsbad upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Cavemen host Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM) to play the Desert Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, December 5. The Desert Warriors come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Santa Teresa lost 55-13 in their recent non-league bout against Roswell (Roswell, NM)

Next up, the Tigers play the Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Alamogordo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 53-14 non-league loss to Goddard (Roswell, NM).
