Virginia High School Basketball - Craig County nudges James River

Craig County Rockets (New Castle, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), 22-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Craig County upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Rockets host Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA) to clash with the Bears in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Bland County won 40-23 in their recent non-league bout against Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA)

Next up, the Knights clash with the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, November 30. James River will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
