James F. Byrnes Rebels (Duncan, SC) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host J.L. Mann Patriots (Greenville, SC), 33-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, James F. Byrnes upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Rebels travel to Dorman (Roebuck, SC) to play the Cavaliers in a bout on Monday, January 16. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Patriots play the Greenville Red Raiders (Greenville, SC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 1. J.L. Mann will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
